Meet Our Founder, Bella

Hi there!

I've danced my entire life - it started with me as a little tippy-toed ballerina before I transitioned to ballroom dancing in my teen years.

From the moment I tried partner dancing, I knew the craft would keep me enamored for life. And, as much as I love performing, I've learned that in life there are few things better than the small moments, like dancing in the kitchen with your partner. Teaching wedding couples quickly became my passion, because it allows me to combine my love of dance with my love of love!

I started Danse L' Amour because I wanted to create an experience that felt as special and unique as the love stories I encountered. Today, I am proud to lead a team of incredible women who use creativity to combine love with movement, and serve wedding couples all over the world.

We get to know a lot about our couples throughout their lessons - how they met, how he proposed, how they fell in love, their plans for the wedding, their personalities as couples - and we can't wait to get to know you.

First Dance

Perfect for engaged couples who want to feel confident on the dance floor (and create lasting memories together).

Spice up your next date night with dance lessons designed to bring you closer as you prepare for your big day. You'll get a personalized choreography that meets your dance level,

Parent Dance

If you want to do something a little extra special for your mother/son dance or father/daughter dance, we've got you! With our lesson packages, you can split the lessons however you want, so a lot of couples opt to spend one or two lessons on the parent dances.

We will accommodate any scheduling needs you may have if your parents are coming in town and need to squeeze in lessons!

Wedding Party Dance

We offer social dance lessons for the entire wedding party! This is perfect for parties who really want to rock the dance floor, people who want a new hobby that keeps you active and makes you the coolest person in any room.

Many newcomers come to us with a fear of dancing in public, but regardless of your skill level and choice of dance style our incredible instructors will help you reach your dance goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

All these pictures look so good! But I am not a professional dancer...

You may be surprised to hear it, but all of these photos are of our past students!! No matter what skill level you show up with, our instructors will work with you to create a dance that is fun, comfortable, and still has the "wow factor" fit for your special day.

How far out should we start the lessons?

We recommend 4-6 months out from the wedding as a general range! However, we can always do crash courses if it's sneaking up on you!

How often should we be coming in for lessons?

Once a week or once every other week is ideal - if it becomes more sparse than that, you will be spending more of your lesson on reviews and less time progressing!

What do we wear to our lessons?

For your first few sessions, feel free to come in comfortable clothes! Athleisure is perfect. Try to avoid super sticky rubber-soled shoes. On your last session or two, you can bring out the formal wear to practice dancing in something comparable to your big day clothes. We definitely recommend practicing in your actual wedding shoes those last few lessons.

Where are you located?

While we started in NYC, we are happy to be able to offer in-person lessons in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, NYC, and Columbus currently. We also do Zoom lessons for anyone interested in a virtual option!
